Cisco quits WiMax radio business

Cisco покидает рынок WiMax radio

Сisco дает задний ход и уходит с рынка базовых станций для WiMax. Ну что тут сказать, еще одна подножка на пути WiMax. Одни считают, что это большой удар по развитию WiMax, другие говорят, что сейчас на рынке есть и другие игроки разрабатывающие базовые станции для WiMax, поэтому потеря конечно значительная, но не смертельная. Вообщем все правы понемногу. Но на мой взгляд отказ Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Nokia(сначала участвовала, затем вышла из консорциума WiMax, затем снова вошла) говорит о многом, если не обо всем. Если у Intel не останется больших союзников, то сколько бы не пиарили WiMax, дни его будут сочтены. Ни одна фирма не потянет против всех, даже такая как Intel.
